Angular Perceptions

These works, named after the nature of the light circumstance they study, capture the multitude of colors perceived at certain angles of incidence when a light beam crosses a transparent medium. With this body of work, lé dieguê translates the rapidly changing virtues of light, and especially those possibilities that lie within and are often overlooked due to the homogeneity of our daily lives. Pristine, hard-edged linear patterns are intentionally painted, as they evoke transitions, calm, and luminous tranquility, inviting the audience to experience the emotional impact of the work.
